Its All Going Up

The last three days have seen the rising of the log cabin
 The base went down first
Then the floor was insulated and boarded the walls were next
It soon started taking shape with the walls being lined with insulation and boarded on the inside
the windows were formed and roof trusses in place
then on with the roof and its insulation and in with the glass
It is now watertight and next week end will see the roof shingles go on and the finishing touches inside will be done, in the meantime I have to get the outside painted and organise the electrician, it will be all ready for me to turn into a workshop, I am so looking forward to having a work place again and getting all my craft things unpacked and in place.
Tomorrow I will introduce you to our newest member to join our little farm :-)

  1. Wow, that was fast! Took us all week to paint one wall in the kitchen! And I am so envious of this new work shop of yours, because I would love to have somewhere to sew and do creative things. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with your new work place.

  6. Looks great. Did you need planning permission? I've got an instant workshop coming but I'm not going to put too much on the blog about it until it's started to blend in.

    1. No planning needed, its under the height restriction and is not classed as a fixture, there is no plumbing or water supply.
