Mother Nature Comes Up Trumps
While out walking Sol last night I spotted that the wild blueberries (Bilberry, Baeberry, Heath Berry) choose what you want to call them, were ripening.
Tonight's walk I took a couple of containers along and picked some wild strawberries they are just finishing now
and picked some wild blueberries
just as one fruit finishes another comes along, isn't mother nature great, it wont be long before the blackberries are ready for picking they are in flower and then it will be time to start harvesting nuts.
No doubt the foodies would call wild blueberries a super food, I am not into all this super food stuff I am an everything in moderation person.
We had a rainy morning so I got stuck into some bread making
one white loaf one seeded loaf these have now gone in the freezer
I then carded some more Alpaca fleece for spinning
I also got my first skein of Alpaca washed its now drying off then it will be ready to use,
The sun came out this afternoon, so I got some perennial plants in the ground in the flower garden, the borders are filling up nicely although the plants are small at the moment I am leaving plenty of space around them, they will grow and spread over the next year or so.
That's all from me today :-)
