Reducing Me To Tears
The other day when I went to bring some onions in from the barn,
I noticed that some were starting to sprout,
The weather has been so mild its bring on growth early,
I have gone through the onions, any still dormant have been put into fridge
The others have been chopped up and into the freezer,
chopping up so many onions in one go, I had tears streaming down my face,
I kept sniffing as I was chopping and Sol was sitting at my feet he kept looking up a me tilting his head to the side, the onions didn't make him cry.
I needed some for the pot of Chili I was cooking, the recipe said serves 4, its seems to me there is about 6 portions, I will have one tomorrow for dinner and the others I will pop in the freezer for a later date or I might can it tomorrow.
I had to go into Swansea this morning, it was smelly, crowded and noisy and felt very closed in,
I was glad I was just dropping off a sewing machine to be serviced, unfortunately it was a 4 hour round trip, it didn't leave much time for anything else. I have to go back again next week.
I did get info transferred to the new calendar
We bought one of the calender's that was produced in the village.
Money goes to the restoration of the village park.
I also got a bit of paperwork done
Sheep and Goat Inventory for the Agricultural dept Welsh Government
It didn't take long having only 2 goats, I think this requirement is done twice a year.
Now a bit of a mystery, who has been sleeping here
The past couple of mornings when I have gone out to the barn were the goats are, in the pile of straw someone has been making a bed, the same bed has been made in one of the Alpaca shelters in the straw, I have filled it in each morning and next day its there again.
It is defiantly getting colder, and it has been trying to snow but nothing to write home about,
the sun came out today most welcome today.
