Vets and Makes
We went into town this morning, re-stock on animal feeds and Sol needed to have a post op check.
Sol was fine and the bloods they did were all good as well.
We popped along to livestock vet to settle our bill for last month.
£4.86, now I have a question why is treatment and medicine for livestock a lot lot cheaper than for a dog.
For example worming for two goats £4.64 worming for the dog £31
if anyone knows the answer please let me know.
Anyhow as a little get well gift for Sol I made him a smart bandanna
He was the best dressed dog at the vet's
Martin had a bit of a making day as well
remember that slate I was collecting that someone had thrown away, we collected a stone cutting blade for the disc cutter
and he cut them into plant labels for me, I want to use them in the herb bed I plan to paint the names on.
I need to pick up some more of the slate tiles when I am out walking the dog.
Martin also had a bit of an adventure of his own today down in the forest, he got stuck with the quad bike and had to use the new winch to get himself out, at least it does the job.
He also now realises that when off out like this he needs to take one of the radios with him as he was gone so long I was starting to think he had an accident.
This evening he has a big pot of stock on the boil
The carcass off the cockerel we had for dinner with the neck and heart and loads of left over bits of veg,
The stock will go into the freezer in portions ready for future meals.
Most of my afternoon was spent doing housework and down the cabin working on some gifts.
A very relaxed day for us both.
